Don't cry after me , Mom

The idea of the icon is on the one hand to present the submission of Christ's sacrifice on the cross, on the other hand praise of the Resurrection. In this icon submitted late Saviour, as if standing in the grave. Christ has laid bare her eyes closed and hands crossed on the body (sometimes abandoned along the body). His hands and side are visible wounds of the nails and the spear. After his right hand stands the Mother of God, which symbolically hugs to each son. Typically, the Savior is shown a cross - in this case with the inscriptions: "Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews", and "King of Glory".
